SETTLE DOWN // THE 1975
Hit potential’s definitely high. Pardon my almost all musical blog posts right now. This is what I do almost everyday. Listen to music. I can’t help but blog this quartet band from UK. I posted one song from them from my other blog and there was an instant re-blog and likes in a day. I know four is a little ridiculous but what the hell.
I usually listen to an artist then hear all their songs and end up downloading two or three of them but these guys? It’s like the entire album is in my list. hoho. Their unique electronic pop rock flavor caught my deafening ears. :)
They haven’t been in the industry for so long. They started releasing their EPs late last year. I see a great potential for this band in the music industry. I see a greater following of this band now and it will grow more in the future.
They will be touring the U.S mid next year and sadly for Asian fans they have two gigs early this year in Japan.
More of this band here.
This post is overly underrated. :D
Gang of Rhythm // Walk off the Earth
Beatle love. ^^
Have you ever heard of WOTE yet? Well, it’s time to listen to this five talented beings. Don’t be deceived by their hipster look because their thumping beats, yukelele strings and looping marks their own definitive flavor in this vast growing music industry where overlays and those robotic digital stuff are eminent.
Looks can’t be deceiving for this band. This band has a little bit of folk and a little bit of pop in it. Indeed it sounds perky alright. They truly are one unique band to hit the music scene sooner or later. Their Gotye cover became viral last year. How I wish everyone would get to listen to their kick-ass music aside from their fun videos. :)

You may notice a yellow sun instead of the usual tumblr dot and this is what pops up. This is very nice of Tumblr. :)
I know our country’s a little bit of a mess in politics and may be in a little bit of everything, but I believe things will be better after this. Everyday we are always reminded about life and what everyone must do about it. May be it’s time that we must do something about it, about the things that we’ve got used to. It’s time to change for the better..
IF SO // ATLAS GENIUS
I know it’s almost the wee hours of the night and I am in a little hurry blogging, than consuming the whole night downloading some music, but this band I just cannot let go off before I retire to slumber. ( I might not have this late night impulse tomorrow)
Originally composed of the Jeffrey brothers, Keith and Michael, and later joined by Darren Sell on keyboards.
Apparently their band name just popped out of a dream. Dreams do become real. They started their hard work on their own studio where they literally built by themselves while composing music at the side. Not to mention the help of the Jeffrey brother’s dad who has a background in music and engineering.
I knew I had two of their songs in my Itunes early last year, Trojans and Backseat, and I knew it had great potential. They have this certain flavor that sets them apart from other bands. It’s a little of an alternative indie genre. Somehow their music sounds like a happy hippie theme. There were limited works from them back then so I was thinking that this must be an experimental band in the making. (A swan waiting to be discovered) I thought they were playing EPs back then or may be they were.
I think I’ve been messing up their songs from the Through the Glass Album (2012) and the When it was now Album (2013). Nevertheless, everything is catchy, lyric-filled and a little of that good and rustic vibe feel. There are those beach-y strings. Get ready basking in the sun with this band. :)
I did not write any of my favorite songs because I might be too biased writing all the song titles. You better just grab a copy of this band’s album to give this post justice. :p
Check your skin tan and their band and track details on their official site, Atlas Genius.
Thank you to my handy dandy music on repeat tonight. :)
